Description
Tumble Row Farmhouse is a farmhouse built around 1700, with mid-18th century features and later alterations from the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, with ashlar quoins and dressings, and has a slate roof with raised stone coped gables and two red brick gable stacks. The building is L-shaped, two stories plus attics, and has a three-bay front. The central entrance features a half-glazed door with a traceried overlight and a flat hood, flanked by single canted bay windows that have two-light 20th-century glazing bar casements and flat lead roofs. On the first floor, there are three glazing bar sash windows, all of which have flat splayed stone arches. The roof includes three flat dormers with two-light plain casements and leaded cheeks. At the rear, there is a lower two-story, two-bay service range from around 1700, which features chamfered beams in the interior.
