Description
Heathland House is a farmhouse built in the mid-18th century, with additions from the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble, featuring ashlar dressings, and has a concrete tiled roof with one brick chimney. The building has an L-shaped plan and is two storeys high, with a first-floor band and cornice.
The front has three bays, with ashlar quoins and the middle bay slightly projecting, topped with a stone-coped gable. The central entrance consists of a 20th-century glazed door, which is sheltered by a 20th-century stone porch. This is flanked by single glazing bar sash windows that have stone surrounds and prominent keyblocks. Above, there are three similar windows with surrounds. The central window features a semi-circular blank panel with a plain stone surround and keystone.
