Description

Cross Base is a 14th-century structure made of ashlar stone. It features a square base with four cusped angles that create an octagonal plinth, which contains a square socket for the shaft base. The lower part of the shaft is square and transitions into a tapering octagonal section, of which approximately 4 feet remains. The surface is heavily worn. There is a vertical slot on the north side of the shaft, likely a later repair.
