House and post office. C17, altered late C18 and mid C19, C20 rebuilding. Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings, plain tiled roof with bargeboards, single ridge and gable brick stacks. L-plan. 2 storey, 4 bay front having off- centre 6 panelled door with plain fanlight, open stone porch with Doric pilasters and columns, supporting stone cornice and segmental canopy over the fanlight, flanked by 2 storey canted bay windows with glazing bar sashes. Above the door is a semi- circular headed glazing bar sash. Beyond to the right a further door with glazing bar sash to first floor. To the left is a single storey single bay pent roofed store with quoins and planked doorway. The rear wing has evidently been raised from single storey to 2 storey. The front of the building was severely damaged by fire in 1914 and reconstructed.
