Description

Nos. 28 and 30 on Packington Hill is a former single house that has been divided into two residences. It dates from the early 19th century and has undergone alterations in the late 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of red brick, with rendering below the ground floor sill level, and features painted dentil eaves. The roof is covered with 20th-century Welsh slate, and there are flanking brick chimneys.

The structure is L-shaped and consists of three storeys with three bays. It has boxed four-pane sash windows with white-painted stone sills and wedge lintels. The square windows on the second floor have been altered in the 20th century to include matching top-hung casements, with the central window being blind. The central entrance features a 20th-century six-panelled door with a rectangular fanlight and a wedge lintel.

At the rear of the left bay, there is a full-height bowed projection from the early to mid-19th century, which includes a late 19th to 20th-century two-storey canted wooden bay window. To the right of this projection is a door from the 19th to 20th century set within a gabled porch. There is also a shorter wing at the rear angle, which includes a 19th-century extension.
