Description

The Cottage Restaurant is a building that dates back to the 15th and 16th centuries, although it has undergone significant alterations in the 19th and 20th centuries, including 20th-century extensions at the rear. The exterior features whitewashed roughcast, with the right gable end showing the outline of a cruck truss. The building has a thatched roof and three whitewashed roughcast chimneys. It is one and a half storeys tall and consists of three bays. On the ground floor, there are three-light horizontal sash windows with glazing bars that were installed around 1999, and 20th-century paired barred wooden casements in thatched semi-dormers on the left bays. A 20th-century door is located between the left bays. Inside, there are three cruck trusses, although the interior was not fully visible during the last survey in 1986.
