Description

No. 8 Nottingham Road is a house dating from the 17th century, which has been altered and refurbished in the 20th century. It features a timber frame with whitewashed render infill set on a stone base, and has a plain tile roof from the 20th century. The building is designed in an L-plan and stands two storeys high, with two bays at the front. The left bay includes a gable of a crosswing. The windows are 20th-century casements with wooden glazing bars, featuring a two-light window in the left bay and a three-light window on the first floor above a fixed window with five panes by three panes. There is a 20th-century door in the centre, topped with a gabled wooden hood. The framing of the right bay has undergone significant refurbishment in the 20th century.
