Description

Manor House, located at No 10 Nottingham Road in Kegworth, dates from around 1820 and has had some alterations in the 20th century, particularly to the front. The house is constructed of colourwashed ashlar with brick on the south side, and its roof is concealed by a parapet. It is a double pile structure with two storeys and four bays.

The west front features a chamfered plinth and channelled rustication on the ground floor, a band course at the first floor, smooth rustication above, a minimal cornice, and a parapet. The windows are three-pane sashes with 20th-century louvred shutters, and the left bay includes a small 20th-century single light. There is a late 19th-century canted wooden bay window on the right. The second bay has a 20th-century flat-roofed porch that is rendered and channelled at the front, featuring a panelled door, side windows, and lion finials on the parapet.

The east front has seen less alteration, although details are obscured by ivy. To the left, there is an impressive two-storey bowed projection with three curved sashes on each floor, with the ground floor featuring tall full-height windows. To the right, there are three additional bays of sashes, along with a lower bay that is set back at the right end.
