Description
There are three chest tombs located 22 yards south of the south porch at the Church of St. Michael in Edenham. These tombs were created in 1786 and 1790 by the same mason. They are made of ashlar and feature a moulded top and base, with curved ends. Each tomb has oval side inscription panels surrounded by delicate rococo designs, which are flanked by pairs of shaped and coved balusters. The westernmost tomb is dedicated to William Elston, who died in 1790, while the northernmost tomb is for Nicholas Clark, who died in 1786.
