Description
No. 45 is a cottage located on Main Street, dating from the 17th century and altered in the 19th century. It is built of coursed limestone rubble and render, topped with a plain tiled roof that features a bargeboard. The cottage has a single brick ridge stack and is a single storey with attics. The front has two bays, each with a single 2-light and 3-light casement window that has timber lintels. Above the windows, the area is recessed and rendered, suggesting the possibility of earlier framed walling. The roof includes two gabled dormers, each with 2-light glazing bar casements, boarded tops, and rendered cheeks. Inside, the cottage retains chamfered beams. This building is included for its group value.
