Description
White House Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century, with alterations from the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, featuring ashlar and red brick dressings. The roof is made of 20th-century pantiles, with ashlar coped gables and kneelers. The building has a single ridge and two gable brick stacks, along with ashlar quoins and brick eaves.
The farmhouse is two stories high and has a five-bay irregular front. The entrance is off-centre and features a 20th-century six-panel door with a rectangular overlight and a plain bracketed hood. To the left of the doorway, there is a pair of 19th-century glazed double doors with a segment brick head. To the right, there is a single glazing bar sash window with a segment brick head and an ashlar keystone, followed by a small 20th-century glazing bar fixed light and another glazing bar sash, both with brick segment heads. Above, there are four glazing bar sashes at the eaves. Between the two upper right-hand windows, there is an ashlar shield.
