Description

Holme Farmhouse is a circa 1800 farmhouse constructed of red brick and coursed limestone rubble, with a pantile roof and two brick gable stacks. The roofline features brick dentilated eaves, and the building is arranged in an L-shape. It is two stories high and three bays wide. The central doorway has a 20th-century six-panel door and a rectangular overlight containing a semicircular light, all set within a reeded wooden surround and a flat moulded hood. Either side of the doorway are single glazing bar sashes, each set under a segment brick head. Above, there are three similar sashes, also under segment brick heads. The side walls are of coursed rubble with brick quoins, now painted.
