Description
Grange Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, which was refenestrated in the 18th century and altered and extended in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings, topped with a slate roof featuring stone coped gables and two red brick 19th-century stacks, one of which has an ashlar base. The building has an L-plan and is two stories high with a garret, presenting a three-bay front. The central entrance consists of a flush panelled door, flanked by single glazing bar sash windows. On the first floor, there are two similar windows. All openings are adorned with plain painted ashlar lintels. The front wall shows evidence of earlier windows that have been blocked. To the right, there is a lower two-story, two-bay 19th-century service range with plain casement windows and a half-glazed door, along with a small sliding glazing bar sash on the first floor.
