Description
Rookery Farmhouse and 2 cottages are a farmhouse and two cottages dating from the late 16th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and features a steeply pitched pantile roof. This roof has a single raised stone coped gable, one hipped end, and a single gable, along with two ridge stacks that have stone bases and moulded brick tops. The structure is L-shaped and consists of a single storey with attics, featuring an 8-bay front arranged in a 5:3 configuration around the corner.
The main entrance has a 20th-century door that is covered by a lean-to porch. To the left of the door is a 20th-century iron casement window, and to the right are a single three-light casement and a pair of two-light casements. In the other wing, there is a three-light casement, a 20th-century larder addition, and another three-light casement. All window openings have timber lintels. The roof includes seven gabled dormers, each with two-light metal casements and rendered cheeks.
