Description
The Hollies is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of red brick in English garden wall bond of three, topped with a concrete tiled roof featuring two brick gable stacks and brick coped gables. The front is a single storey with three bays, characterized by a first floor brick band and a dogtooth eaves course. The central entrance has a half-glazed door, above which the brick band rises to form a semi-circular arch, with the tympanum filled with herringbone brickwork, which may have been reset. This entrance is flanked by two-light glazing bar sliding sashes set under cambered brick arches. On the first floor, there is a central semi-circular headed blank opening, with two-light casements to the eaves on either side. Inside, the ground floor retains panelled shutters.
