Description
The barn at High House Farmhouse is a structure dating from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century and an extension added in the mid 19th century. It features a timber frame with mud infill and a red brick underbuilding laid in Flemish bond, along with a mid 19th century extension. The roof is thatched but covered with corrugated iron. The barn is a single storey and consists of three bays of framing, with a single stable door and a planked door located to the left. Inside, the barn retains oak bay posts with straight braces connecting to the wall plate, as well as softwood trusses.
