Description
The Black Holt former Atomic Bomb Store features a mounded weapon preparation area, designated D1, built in the 1960s. The structure is made of reinforced concrete. The building is primarily mounded, with the only visible part being the entrance, which is set within a concrete-lined access path. This entrance is accessed through a large double-leaf steel door that includes a wicket. Inside, the building has a full-height interior with painted concrete, and the reinforced concrete frame is exposed.
