Description
Hall Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of brick in English Garden Wall bond and features a renewed tile roof with stone slates at the rear, along with renewed brick stacks. The building has two storeys with an attic and three windows on the first floor. A brick plinth supports a panelled door located to the left of centre, which is framed by a plain ashlar limestone surround that includes a pulvinated frieze and cornice. Flanking the door are four-pane sash windows with projecting stone sills, gauged-brick flat arches, and limestone keystones. The first floor has three similar windows, with the window above the door being narrower. The eaves are cogged, and there are stone kneelers and ashlar gable copings at the ends, which also feature end stacks. At the rear, there is a tall stair-window. Inside, there is a stone staircase. A lean-to extension on the right return is not of special interest.
