Description
Codnor Gate Farm House is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of red brick, featuring brick and stone dressings. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has stone coped gables supported by plain stone kneelers, along with brick gable stacks and a dentilled brick eaves band. The building has two storeys with garrets and consists of three bays, plus a lower two-storey single bay to the west.
There is an inserted off-centre 20th-century half-glazed door with a tripartite sash immediately to the west, and a 20th-century three-light casement window to the east. Above, there are two similar three-light windows and a two-light window at half landing level in the centre. All windows are set below segmental brick arches with stone keyblocks. The western bay features flat-headed 20th-century three-light casements.
