Description
Nos 15, 16, and 17 on Golden Valley Road are a terrace of three cottages, originally built in the early 19th century and restored around 1980. Constructed from red brick, they feature slate roofs, dentilled eaves, and brick stacks at the gables and ridges. Each cottage is two storeys high and consists of two bays. The south elevation of each cottage has two central plank doors, which are flanked by two-light windows, with two similar windows located above. All openings have cambered brick heads, and the windows are small pane casements from the 20th century. This terrace is part of a group of housing built for industrial workers by the Butterley Company, situated alongside the Cromford Canal.
