Description

The Canal Bridge, built in 1793 by engineers William Jessop and Benjamin Outram, is a Grade II listed structure located at SK 4345 5156. It is constructed from coursed squared stone and features a single stilted segmental arch. The bridge has a plain band and parapets that are topped with rounded coping stones. The walls curve outward at each end and finish in square piers with pyramidal copings. This bridge is part of the Cromford Canal.
