Description

The Canal Bridge, located at SK 4380 5170, was built in 1793 by engineers William Jessop and Benjamin Outram. It is constructed from coursed squared stone and features a single semi-circular arch. The bridge has a plain band and a parapet with rounded copings. The walls curve outward at each end and terminate in square piers, although the south-east corner is partly demolished. This bridge is part of the Cromford Canal.
