Description
No. 3 Cornmarket is a building located on the north side of Cornmarket, dating from the early 19th century, although its side elevation suggests it may have origins in the mid-18th century. The structure stands three storeys tall and is constructed of painted brick. It features paired 19th-century bracketed eaves, and the left side has a rebuilt quoin. The front has two windows with wooden cases, hung sashes, and painted stucco arches. There is a later 19th-century shop front consisting of two windows and a half-glazed door. The side elevation includes one bowed window with glazing bars, along with hung sash windows that also have glazing bars. A modern round window is present as well. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 1 to 13A, The Masons Arms Hotel, and The Corn Market.
