Description

No. 7 Market Place is a mid-19th century building with an earlier core, featuring a pantile roof and rendered walls. It stands three storeys high and is adorned with a modillion eaves cornice and rusticated quoins. The building has four windows on the upper floors, each with segmental stucco moulded arches and hung sashes that lack glazing bars. The cills of the first-floor windows are concealed by a later fascia. The ground floor includes an early 20th-century double shop front. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 1 to 5 (consecutive), No. 7, and the Market Hall on Eastgate.
