Description

This is an early 19th century corner building situated on the Market Place. It is three storeys high and constructed of brown brick, with a flat, bowed front also in brick. The front facade has one window on each storey, each a hung sash window with glazing bars, topped with stucco flat arches incorporating keystones. A band runs along the window cills. A mid-19th century shop front, made of painted wood, is present. The entrance door consists of six panels, two of which are modern glass panels. A parapet tops the building. Both front and side elevations are identical in design. The building forms a group with number 37 Mercer Row.
