Description
No. 1 Cornmarket is an early 19th-century building located on the north side of Cornmarket. It has three storeys constructed of painted brick and features a new asbestos pantile roof. The front elevation includes two modern casement windows and an early 19th-century canted oriel window on the first floor, which has three lights and hung sashes with glazing bars. There are also two 19th-century shop windows with a curved fascia, and the risers are rendered to resemble stone. A modern door is situated in the center of the building. This property is listed as part of a group that includes No. 7 Market Place, Nos. 1 to 13A (odd), The Masons Arms Hotel, and The Corn Market.
