Description
Nos 13 and 13A on Cornmarket is an early 19th-century narrow house that stands four storeys tall and is rendered. It features a shallow pitched roof made of Welsh slate. The front has a three-storey shallow bowed oriel window with three lights, which includes hung sashes with glazing bars. Plain wood pilasters are present, and the space between the storeys is panelled. The building has a dentilled eaves cornice and carved end pilasters. There are early 19th-century and modern shops at the ground level, with a curved entablature and a modern brick stall riser. The entrance includes two mostly glazed doors and narrow rectangular fanlights with four lights. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 13A, the Masons Arms Hotel, and The Corn Market.
