Description

A cottage dating from the mid-18th century, with later alterations in the late 19th century and the 20th century. The structure is built with a timber frame and mud, later rendered in colourwashed brick. The roofs are thatched and covered with corrugated iron, featuring weatherboarded overhanging eaves and a single projecting gable stack. The cottage is arranged in an L-shape. The east front, which has three bays, was refronted in brick. It has a doorway on the left, with a partially glazed door, flanked by two two-light sliding sash windows. The south front displays a gable end to the left, constructed with a timber frame and mud, with a brick plinth and stack. This stack is flanked by two small, fixed windows. Two two-light sliding sash windows are situated to the right. This building possesses group value.
