Description
Nos. 7, 9, 11, and 13 on Louth Road are a group of four cottages built in the late 18th century, around 1800, with some early to mid-19th century alterations. They are constructed of red brick with pantile roofs, and No. 13 features a mansard roof and four gable stacks. Nos. 7, 9, and 11 are two storeys high, while No. 13 has a single storey and an attic.
Nos. 7 and 9, dating from around 1800, have four bays with two central doorways side by side, separated by a break in bonding. Both doorways have segmental heads and plank doors. There are single glazing bar sashes beyond each door, also with segmental heads, and two two-light casements above. No. 11, built around 1825, has two bays and decorative eaves. It features a doorway to the left with a segmental head and plank door, a three-light casement to the right with a segmental head, and two two-light casements above, both with wooden lintels.
No. 13, built in the late 18th century, has two bays with a doorway to the left that has a segmental head and a plank door. To the left of this doorway is a three-light casement with a segmental head, and above is a small raking dormer with a two-light casement.
