Description
No. 49 North Street is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick, with a chequered pattern of yellow bricks, and features some render and painted stucco dressings. The roof is made of pantiles and has stone coped gables, decorated eaves, and gable stacks. The building has three storeys and a two-bay front. The doorway is located to the right and features a reeded doorcase with a plain entablature, an overlight, and a partially glazed door. To the left, there is a single glazing bar sash window, with another single glazing bar sash window above it, and a smaller glazing bar sash window above that. All the windows are topped with stucco wedge lintels that have voussoirs and raised keystones. This building is included in the register for its group value only.
