Description
No. 12 Market Street is a former house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from around 1700 and has undergone alterations in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building features rough cast render on brick with a pantile roof, which has a raised coped gable and a single gable stack. It is a single storey plus attics with a four bay front.
The entrance consists of a half-glazed door, with a small rectangular bay shop window to the right that has a fascia and cornice. To the left, there is a 19th-century canted bay window and a 20th-century oriel window. The roof includes two flat-topped dormers that have sliding glazing bar sashes, lead roofs, and cheeks.
