Description
Nelson Butt is a public house dating from around 1700, with alterations made in the 19th century. It features a rendered and painted brick exterior, topped with a pantile roof and brick coped gables. The building is two storeys high with a three-bay front. The ground floor has an off-centre six-panel door set in a plain surround, which is topped by a narrow hood. This door is flanked by single glazing bar sash windows that have cambered heads and vermiculated keystones. On the first floor, there are three glazing bar sash windows positioned at the eaves. An external gable stack is located on the right side of the building.
