Description

No. 1 Halton Road is a former Methodist Manse, now a house, built in 1877-1878 by Charles Bell. The building is constructed of yellow stock brick and features a slate roof with a gable end facing the street. It stands three storeys tall and has decorative dentillations along the verge. The front includes a rectangular bay window topped with a parapet and pairs of plain sash windows. On the first floor, there are two plain sashes with triangular heads and fishscale spandrels. The second floor has a plain sash set in a pointed opening. The entrance door is located on the side of the building. This property is included in the listing for its group value.
