Description
No. 12 Baldock Road is a mid-19th century manse that has been converted into a house. It is constructed of white gault brick and features a steep slate roof. The building stands tall at two storeys, with attics and a cellar, and has a south-facing gabled front that faces the street. Architectural details include a floor band, a chamfered plinth, and a small round-headed Yorkshire sliding casement window located in the apex of the gable. On the first floor, there are two recessed sash windows, each with six panes and flattened segmental arches. The ground floor features a tall three-light casement window and a round-headed doorway that contains a four-panel door, with the lower panels being flush-beaded. This doorway is topped with a radial fanlight and is accessed by four steps. An iron railing runs along the front of the house and serves as a handrail for the steps. The property is included for its group value.
