Description

39 High Street is a house that has been converted into a shop, dating from around 1840. It is constructed of grey gault brick and features an old red tile roof. The building is two storeys high and has a cellar, designed in a two-cell layout with end chimneys, facing east. On the upper floor, there are two wide recessed sash windows with eight-over-eight panes, which are set under flat gauged arches. To the left on the ground floor, there is a similar window above a segmental arched cellar opening. To the right, there is a late 19th-century shopfront. This building is included for its group value with other nearby structures.
