Description
2 and 4 Baldock Road is a house that has been divided into two separate homes. It dates from the 17th century and was renovated in the 18th century. The building features a timber frame that is plastered at the front and roughcast at the rear, with a dark weatherboarded apron. It is two stories tall and has a central chimney plan, with a large central chimney running across the ridge and a third chimney at the eastern end. No 2 is the eastern part of the building. There are three upper windows, which are flush box sash windows with moulded surrounds and six panes. The entrance to No 2 is through a passage door at the western corner, followed by a battened door leading to No 4. Each house has a pair of similar flush sash windows, and No 2 features a six-panel door.
