Description
14 and 15 Church End is a house that has been divided into two homes. It dates from the 17th century or earlier and has been altered and extended in the 20th century. The building features a timber frame that is plastered, with a weatherboarded apron at the front and very steep red tile roofs. It is a long, one and a half storey structure facing east, with a large lateral chimney stack at the rear of the southern part (No 14) that has a single diagonal shaft, and a long gabled plastered rear wing. There are two lean-to dormers on the east front at the eaves.
No 14, which is the left house, has a half-glazed door beneath a drip board, a two-light casement window to the right, a framed plaster relief panel on the left, and a small window beyond. There is also a casement window in the south gable. No 15 features two casement windows at the front along with three-light casement windows. There is a lean-to entrance extension set back on the north side, which includes a door and a window under a bracketed hood.
