Description

No 8 Church End is a house located in Braughing village, dating from the 17th or 18th century. It features a timber frame that is plastered and has an old red tiled roof. The house is designed with a 3-unit central chimney plan and faces north. There is a small internal gable chimney on the west side. The building is two storeys high and has a three-window front, with an enclosed lean-to porch situated between the right-hand pair of windows. The windows are three-light flush casements. At the rear, there is a two-storey lean-to extension with a slate roof that is below the eaves level.
