Description
No. 4 Park Street is a mid-19th century house constructed of gault brick with stone details around the windows, doors, and quoins. It features a hipped slate roof with a shallow pitch and scroll modillions at the eaves. The house has two storeys and attics, with a central dormer that includes a canted bay fitted with hung sashes and glazing bars. There is a five-window range of hung sashes with glazing bars, all set within moulded stone architraves. The central bay has a similar hung sash flanked by sidelights, all within an architrave supported by pilasters, topped with a plain entablature and an open triangular pediment. A band runs between the floors. The ground floor windows are adorned with shouldered architraves. A set of five stone steps leads up to the central doorway, which features a six-panelled double door with a semi-circular fanlight above. The doorcase is framed by pilasters and includes a plain entablature with a dentilled cornice. There is a recessed wing on the left side of the house.
