Description

71 Wide Bargate is a shop that has been converted into a house, dating from the early 19th century. It features a painted brick exterior and a hipped slate roof.

The building has a two-storey, two-bay front. The entrance includes a 20th-century door with an overlight, flanked by single panelled pilasters that have foliate capitals. There is a small shop window with glazing bars and two upper vent lights, followed by another pilaster. A narrow fascia and cornice run above the door and windows. On the first floor, there are two glazing bar sash windows with flat stucco lintels and keystones.

The interior has not been inspected.
