Description
27 High Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It was built in the early 19th century and altered in the 20th century. The building is made of red and brown brick in English bond and has a hipped slate roof.
The exterior features three storeys with a two-bay main front and a three-bay side front. The shop front, which dates from the late 19th century, is recessed and includes external cast-iron columns and an angled corner entrance with a half-glazed door. The first and second floors have nine-pane glazing bar sash windows, each with splayed stucco cambered lintels. Additionally, there is a tall central semi-circular-headed stair window on the side front. The building also has an ogee gutter adorned with lion's head masks. The interior has not been inspected.
