Description
No. 32 High Street is a house that has been converted into a shop and flats, dating from the early 19th century. It features a painted brick front and a slate roof with brick-coped gables and a reduced brick gable stack. The building has three storeys plus attics and a three-bay front, which includes a 20th-century shop front.
The central opening is blank and is flanked by single glazing bar sashes. The second floor has similar smaller openings, and all openings are topped with flat wedge brick arches. In the roof, there is a single dormer with a segmental lead roof and slate cheeks, along with a bracketed eaves cornice. The right-hand gable displays the letter ties 'WH'.
At the rear, there is an early 19th-century warehouse range that has a hipped pantile roof and features 2-light casements with segmental arches. The interior has not been inspected.
