Description

This is a house, later adapted for use as a shop with flats above. It likely originated in the 16th and 17th centuries, with alterations made in the 18th and 19th centuries. The building is constructed of painted brick and red brick, with a pantile roof and coped gables.

The front façade has three bays and three storeys, topped by a dentilled wooden eaves cornice. A 19th-century shop front features a fascia and moulded cornice on plain pilasters, framing both the main shop doorway and a side entrance. The first floor has three divided sash windows. The second floor has a blocked central opening, flanked by two smaller sash windows. All window and doorway openings are topped with flat brick wedge lintels incorporating keystones.

At the rear, a catslide roof slopes down, and there is a single flat dormer window. The rear wall displays remnants of timber framing, including braces. The interior of the building has not been inspected.
