Description
No. 33 High Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates back to the 15th century but has been significantly altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building features a timber frame, with brick and render, and has slate and pantiled roofs.
The exterior consists of two storeys plus attics, with a single bay front that includes a 20th-century shop front, a first-floor window, and a dormer window topped with a segmental lead roof. At the first-floor level, the party walls contain substantial oak posts and arch braces. However, no other remnants of earlier phases are visible, as the walls and ceilings are lined.
The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value with No. 35 and Nos. 36 and 38, as well as No. 42 on High Street.
