Description

16 and 18 London Road is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the 18th century and has undergone later alterations. The building is constructed of painted brick and features a concrete tile Mansard roof with end ridge stacks. It stands two storeys high with an attic. The front has a regular arrangement of four windows. The shop front, which is from the 20th century, includes a recessed central entrance. On the first floor, there are plate-glass sash windows set in reveals beneath cambered window arches. The building is topped with a parapet that has coping and a cornice band, and it also features two dormer windows, each with two lights.
