Description
Crispin and Crispianus Public House is a public house dating from the early 17th century, with later alterations. It features a timber-framed structure with brick cladding on the ground floor and weatherboarding above. The roof has a gable end covered with Kent tiles. The building has a three-unit, baffle entry plan, which may include a stack that was added to an earlier cross-passage, with service areas located to the left and rear. It stands two storeys high with an attic, and the first floor jetties out.
The front facade has a three-window range, including a two-light casement window in the dormer and a stack that breaks the front slope of the roof. The first floor has windows with 12-pane horned sashes set in revealed frames, while the ground floor features five similar horned sashes, with two paired on the right side. There are also two half-glazed doors. Inside, some ceiling beams are chamfered, but the roof space is not accessible. There are 20th-century single-storey extensions at the rear.
