Description
Barleys is a house that has been converted into a shop and dwelling, dating from the early 19th century. The building features a rendered ground floor on brick, while the first and second floors are constructed of grey brick in header bond, with red brick quoining at both ends. It has a slate roof and a brick stack on the left side.
The structure is three stories high and has a two-window range. On the left and right sides, there are sash doors with overlights and painted moulded architrave surrounds. In the center, there is a four-pane shop window with a segmental arched head and a painted moulded architrave surround. The first floor contains two 12-pane unhorned sashes, also with painted moulded architrave surrounds, while the second floor features nine-pane unhorned sashes with similar surrounds. The interior has not been inspected.
