Description
39 St Edward Street is a house that has been converted into a shop with accommodation above, dating from around 1800. The building is constructed of brick and features a plain-tiled roof.
The exterior consists of three storeys and a three-window range. The ground floor has a late 19th-century shop front, which includes raised panelled pilasters and consoles supporting a fascia that appears to have been renewed. There is a narrow passage entry to the right. The upper windows are 12-pane sashes with painted stone voussoir heads, and there is a blind painted central window set in a round-arched recess. The attic storey features 9-pane sash windows with similar stone heads. The building also has moulded stone eaves and end wall stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
