Description

No. 19 Bridge Street is a house and shop dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with a slate roof and features a brick-coped gable party wall and a single rear off-ridge stack. The building stands three storeys tall, plus attics, and has a single bay front. The late 19th-century shop front is partly covered by a modern fascia. On the first and second floors, there are single paired plain sash windows with flat wedge lintels. The building also has a single gabled dormer with slate-hung cheeks. The interior has not been inspected. Bridge Street was developed after the reconstruction of Town Bridge in 1808. This property is included for its group value with Nos 21 and 23.
