Description
65 and 67 Wide Bargate is a house that has been converted into an office and shop. It dates from the early 18th century and was altered in the 19th century, with No. 65 being a later single bay block on the right. The building features colourwashed brick and render, a steeply pitched pantile roof with brick coped gables, and a single gable stack on the right. No. 65 has a tall parapet that conceals its gabled pantile roof.
The exterior consists of two storeys plus attics, with a three-bay front and a two-storey single bay front to the right. There are three similar windows on the first floor. The later bay on the right has a 19th-century shop front that includes a four-light shop window set in a plain pilastered surround, with a narrow fascia and cornice above, and a single glazing bar sash above that. The interior has not been inspected.
